Satellites including BNSC's Top Sat, the NASA swift explorer as well as ESA's XMM and NigeriaSAT-2 have carried the firms products.
A speciality is hyperbolic optics, where capabilities include: up to 500mm diameter, typical wave front error of 1/20 wavelength, and under 1.2nmrms roughness. All the satellite lenses above are hyperbolic.
"Hyperboloids are generally used in optical telescope systems where good off-axis performance is an important requirement," said the firm.
For constant temperature and low vibration manufacturing, the firm's ISO 9001-2008 manufacturing and test facilities are in deep underground tunnels cut through the chalk of the North Downs.
