Paneles Arauco Concluded The Acquisition of All The Shares in Flakeboard

On 24 September,after fulfilling all the conditions precedent,Paneles Arauco concluded the acquisition of all the shares in Flakeboard that had been agreed by contract on 7 June 2012.The merger review process had taken somewhat longer than expected as delays had arisen in the approval required by Investment Canada Act for takeovers of Canadian companies by foreign investors.As a result of this,the closing date in the first half of September that had still been considered possible in August was unable to be met after all.At the time the takeover plans were announced,the two companies had set their sights on a closing date sometime in the second half-year 2012.
