Nissan Plans to Build a New Factory in Burma in The Future

Japan's Nissan auto group plan to build an new car factory in Myanmar. (September 20) the Nissan said in the Yangon, the new factories will produce 10000 Nissan Sunny car every year since 2015. The factory will be built by the Tan Chong Motor which is the cooperative enterprises in Malaysia. It will be the largest factory in Myanmar.

Nissan Plans to Build a New Factory in Burma in The Future

The President of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn said that the new car factory is the core of the Nissan global growth plan in Burma. Myanmar is the important economic growth in southeast Asia. Moreover Nissan will also help Burma to build the automotive industry.

The new car registered only 2.36 million cars in Myanmar in the end of 2012, but residents are up to 63 million people, so the demand for Japanese car is quite large. Other Japanese car makers also showed interest in this market. Suzuki plans to produce cars in Myanmar. Even the American ford also plans to establish branches in the country.
