Spring Air's international licensees and staff met at Herb Morgenstern's 150,000-square-foot factory in Fresno, which the group toured.
FRESNO, Calif. — Spring Air licensee Herb Morgenstern recently hosted almost three dozen international Spring Air licensees, meeting here during the group's first International Licensee Conference.
The conference, which carried the theme "The California Experience," featured a tour of Morgenstern's 150,000-square-foot Spring Air production facility here.
The meeting involved 30 international Spring Air licensees plus headquarters staff in a number of events and activities aimed at sharing new information and technologies, the company said.
A highlight of the meeting of manufacturers from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas was the tour of Morgenstern's factory. Operating as Pleasant Mattress Inc., the 54-year-old Spring Air-Southwest factory makes and distributes Spring Air and private-label products throughout California and Arizona.
"I'm very proud of our operation and our fine employees," Morgenstern said. "We were pleased not only to demonstrate our manufacturing knowledge but to learn from our international colleagues and peers throughout the world."
The group later met for two days of presentations and discussions, followed by visits to several Spring Air retailers, said Spring Air President Rick Robinson. The four-day meeting also included a tour of Napa Valley and a visit to the Robert Mondavi winery.
The Spring Air organization includes 13 manufacturing facilities in North America and operates in 33 other countries around the globe.
