Taiwan Makers Shipped 3.2GWp of Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells in The First Half of 2013

Taiwan-based makers shipped 3.2GWp of crystalline silicon solar cells in the first half of 2013, increasing 6.7% on year, according to EnergyTrend of Taiwan-based consulting company TrendForce.

Motech Industries, Gintech Energy and Neo Solar Power were the three largest makers, together accounting for 65% of the total shipments, EnergyTrend indicated. Of the shipments, 40% were to China, 17% to Europe, 12% to Japan, 6% to the US and 4% to South Korea.
