Only Circulators with an EEI of Not More Than 0.27 Are Allowed After 2013

The ecodesign requirements imply that only circulators with an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of not more than 0.27 are allowed after 2013 and only circulators with an EEI of not more than 0.23 are allowed after 2015.

In the guideline, companies can see how Europump interprets some of the terms and definitions in this legal text, namely the following points:

Placing on the market;

CE marking and declaration of conformity;

Circulators in the scope;

Standalone circulators for solar and heat applications;

Specific speed correction;

Benchmark value;

Reference to standard EN16297
“This guideline is again proof of the hard work done within Europump Committees during the last few months” says Guy Van Doorslaer, Europump Secretary General. “I would like to thank in particular Dr Niels Bidstrup who has been very active in this work. Thanks to him and everyone’s commitment, companies can now better understand the ecodesign requirements for circulators. The deadline of 2013 is approaching and the aim of this guideline is to clarify possible questions when implementing these ecodesign requirements.”
