Indian automaker Tata Motors is set to begin its business in the Philippines by exporting its passenger and commercial vehicles into the country.
For the new initiative, the company has selected PilipinasTajAutogroup as its distributor in the country.
Passenger vehicles to be exported into the country include the Manza, the Vista, the Indigo and the Indica, and commercial vehicles include the Xenon, the Ace and the Super Ace.
Tata Motors commercial vehicles international business head R T Wasan said that with Horizonext, the company has embarked on a journey with a commitment to excite its customer globally and look forward to unfold its strategy in Philippines for a deeper presence in this market across several product segments.
"To start with we have lined up the Xenon, the Super Ace and the Ace at MIAS based on our intense study and understanding of the customers and their requirements in Philippines," Wasan added.
In addition, the automotive firm has unveiled a range of passenger and commercial vehicles at the Manila International Auto Show.
Vehicles unveiled during the show include Tata Manza sedan, the Tata Vista sporty hatchback, the Tata Xenon pickup truck, the Tata Ace sub-one-ton truck and the Tata Super Ace one ton truck.
