As the time approached for Jeep to produce in China in 2014, the negotiations between Fiat Group and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. will also come to an end. Both sides intend to accelerate the achievement of Jeep localization to avoid missing the SUV trend in Chinese market.
It is learned that this Jeep project may be approved by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in the near future. Meanwhile, the two parties will also sign an agreement on the production plan in the coming months. Cherokee, the latest product of Jeep, will be one of the models produced in China.
