Taiwanese CSC Indicates The Total Domestic Orders in Q4 Have Exceeded Their Expectation

Taiwanese China Steel Corp. indicates the total domestic orders in fourth quarter in 2013 have exceeded their expectation. However, it is still weak in its wire rod orders that are less around 5% than the company expected. There are two major factors to result in the recession of wire rod orders. Firstly, Taiwanese fasteners manufacturers' export orders have declined in this Q4. Also, next year Taiwanese government may allow wire rod products to be imported from China since 2014. Taiwan domestic wire rod buyers therefore do not need to rush to start new purchase at this moment. It is said China's wire rod price is about 3~5% lower than Taiwan's price level.
