Kors Engineering Announced The Installation of an Access Control System

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 4, 2012 -- WATERFORD, Mich. and BOULDER, Colo., Dec. 4, 2012 – Kors Engineering, a premier service provider for manufacturing and industrial organizations and ISONAS Security Systems, Inc., the industry leader in the design and manufacture of Internet Protocol (IP) reader technology, today announced the installation of an access control system at Marwood Metal Fabrication which meets Homeland Security requirements.

Marwood Metal Fabrication, an automotive stamping and assembly company based in Canada, was seeking a solution that would secure each of its facilities with access control that would meet the U.S. Homeland Securities' Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) requirements.

After a great deal of searching for the ideal technology solution that would meet C-TPAT requirements, they found the combined solution offered by ISONAS and Kors Engineering would meet its requirements to restrict access to qualified operators during permitted time windows.

"The elegant solution provided by ISONAS and Kors Engineering offered us the opportunity to efficiently manage entry to our secure locations in an easy-to-use, cost-effective fashion," stated Marwood Metal Fabrication Director of Engineering Steve Spanjers. "Without compromising quality or high-security standards, they were able to deliver a solid hardware platform that leverages our IT infrastructure with a practical software platform."

"Customers definitely appreciate the intuitive and effective nature of our access system. We leverage common sense practices that allow IT and other personnel to effectively manage their physical assets with minimal efforts," said ISONAS Central Region Account Manager Jack Herman. "Our technology solutions exceed required safety and security requirements at a reasonable cost providing the customer with security at an affordable price."

"For many years the only access solutions providing adequate security at industrial facilities were costly and proprietary," said Tony Kaczmarek, president of Kors Engineering. "Working with the superior IP technology from ISONAS, we were able to create a system which provides customers with confidence that only approved personnel have access to secured areas in any facility."

ISONAS and Kors Engineering, which share an appreciation for open source software tools, are eager to expand their combined efforts beyond access control systems to managing assets on the plant floor of manufacturers.
