The US Rig Count Increased , While The Canadian Rig Count Declined

Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending November 1, the US rig count increased by four to 1,742, compared to a one-rig decrease the previous week.? However, the rig count is still down by 40 from 1,800 rigs during the same week a year ago.? The oil rig count increased by 19 to 1,376 whereas the gas rig count decreased by 16 to 360.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count declined by 10 in the week ending November 1 to reach 394, following a 16-rig increase the week before.? As such, the Canadian rig count was up 11 from 383 rigs during the same week a year ago.
