According to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (Inei) and the country’s two steelmakers, Aceros Arequipa and Gerdau's Siderperu, Peru’s rebar output totaled 89,580 tons in April, rising by 12% from a79, 956 tons in March.
In January-April, the country’s rebar production amounted to 335,629 tons, rising by 8.2% year on year.
In April, the country’s rebar shipments slumped by 22.9% from a month ago to 86,970 tons.
