Mattel commissions British designer to dress the new Barbie based on her own collection.
Barbie has taken to the London Fashion Week catwalk to celebrate the launch of the new Barbie Style doll.
The popular doll brand has partnered with up and coming British designer Sadie Williams to create a unique collection of tomboy princesses.
Mattel commissioned Williams to dress the new Barbie Style dolls with pieces from the designer's latest collection. The one off dolls will be available to purchase from the Barbie department in Selfridges London toy shop, retailing for £120.
Barbie Style dolls feature Barbie and her friends dressed in the latest teen-inspired trends, and invite girls to mix and match outfits and accessories to create their own style.
Wendy Hill, director customer marketing and brand communications, Mattel UK, explained: "Barbie has kicked off the year with the exciting launch of Barbie's Style Club.
"Wearing aspirational and relevant fashions, the range strengthens Barbie's fashion positioning, keeping her at the leading edge of fashion."
The new Style Club collection will leo be supported with an online media partnership with Stardoll, enabling girls to engage with the brand in new ways.
