DesleeClama, a producer of mattress ticking, said it is adding new knitting machinery and a fully equipped testing laboratory to its North American manufacturing facility here.
"We are making this major investment to allow us to better service our growing customer base and demand in this key North American market," said Craig Dunlop, president of DesleeClama in North America. "This new machinery will increase our capacity by over 85% and give us more flexibility and innovation capabilities."
DesleeClama's global technical team worked for more than 18 months to develop the plans for the new equipment and facilities, officials said.
"We are particularly proud of our planned new testing laboratory also, as it will allow us to have an even greater consistency of quality both in materials and finished goods," said Dunlop.
DesleeClama recently added a full-service design team and studio focused on offering complete solutions to mattress cover and textile design, the company said.

DesleeClama has been supplying North American mattress manufacturers since 1986 and opened its U.S. office and warehouse in 1999. The DesleeClama Group has production facilities in eight countries - the United States, Brazil, Belgium, Romania, Estonia, South Africa, China and Indonesia.
