Keating Supercars Must Announce a New Supercar Known as 'the Bolt'

England based vehicle manufacturer Keating Supercars is set to unveil a new supercar known as 'The Bolt' that would be capable of achieving speed of over 300mph.

The super car will be powered by a twin turbo charged engine that is expected to generate a maximum output of 2,500hp, while offering an acceleration of 0-60mph in 2sec when paired to a six speed manual transmission gearbox.

The Bolt's engine design is based on the Chevrolet V8 and was developed by Keating Supercars managing director Tony Keating.

Tony said, "The car is unique with many of the components engineered in our own workshop."

The prototype of the new supercar will try to break the world speed record for production cars in Ras al Khaimah in the UAE on 18 September 2013.

Keating Supercars developed the vehicle in collaboration with University of Bolton's Centre for Advanced Performance Engineering.

Currently, the worlds speed record is held by the Bugatti Veyron that had achieved maximum speed of 268mph.
