US Rig Count Decreased by Six to 1,803, Following a 17-Rig Increase The Previous Week.?

Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending March 21, the US rig count decreased by six to 1,803, following a 17-rig increase the previous week.? The rig count is still up by 57 from 1,746 rigs during the same week a year ago.? The oil rig count increased by 12 to 1,473, whereas the gas rig count decreased by 18 to 326.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count plunged by 133 in the week ending March 21 to reach 389, following a 65-rig decline the week before.? However, the Canadian rig count is still up 52 from 337 rigs during the same week a year ago.
