The Gasification Level in The Krasnodar Territory Is 80%

Interfax cited Mr Valery Golubev deputy CEO of Gazprom as saying that the gasification level in the Krasnodar territory is 80%. The Krasnodar territory is 80% gasified whereas for Russia as a whole it's 63%.

Mr Golubev said that over the past 5 years, Gazprom has invested RUB 10 billion in the Krasnodar territory and the local authorities have invested the same amount. This year, Gazprom invested RUB 2.5 billion in Sochi.

Gazprom's largest project on the Black Sea coast is the Dzhubga Lazarveskoye Sochi gas pipeline. There are plans to construct the Dzhubga and Kudepstinskaya combined heat and power plants. The Adlerskaya CHPP is currently running in start-up mode.

Mr Golubev recalled that Gazprom is participating in the Olympics project. In Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi, it has helped build a skiing and biathlon complex, a mountain and tourism center and an Olympic village and sports technology facilities.

As reported, the Adlerskaya CHPP is part of a program to construct Olympic facilities and develop the city of Sochi as a mountain resort. This CHPP will serve as the key energy facility for Sochi and the surrounding areas by covering over a third of the forecast peak burden of the Sochi energy district in 2014.

The construction of this CHPP, which covers around 10 hectares, started in September 2009. Its two power units will have a combined electricity capacity of 360 MW and a heat capacity of 227 Gcal per hour. Natural gas is the primary fuel for the Adlerskaya CHPP.
