Japan’s exports of steel products totaled around 4 million tons in March, rising by 12.25% from a month ago and increasing by 4.8% year on year, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.
Meanwhile, the country’s export revenues generated by steel products totaled US$3.5 billion in March, remaining flat in comparison of the figures in the same period of a year ago.
In March, the exports of steel products made to the US totaled 192,000 tons, increasing by 20.7%; those to the EU were at 25,000 tons, falling by 16.9% and those to China were at 526,000 tons, down by 0.5%, all compared to those in the same month of a year ago.
