Carlo Gavazzi Will Be Attending This Year's Energy Event at The NEC Birmingham

Carlo Gavazzi will be attending this year's Energy Event at the NEC Birmingham to highlight their range of advanced energy meters, power analysers, energy management software and current transformers for every energy management challenge including MID; boasting one of the largest ranges in the UK.

Visitors to Stand No. C04 from 10th-11th September will be able to view demonstrations, talk to the experts and find out how Carlo Gavazzi have helped commercial buildings, schools and hospitals reduce their energy bills as well as, their carbon footprint.

Energy metering family

The popular family of easy to install DIN rail three phase energy meters meet all the latest requirements of the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and resolve the requirements for monitoring energy usage laid out in part L2 of the Building Regulations.  Carlo Gavazzi's extremely popular family of EM21 3 phase energy meter's with its unique patented detachable display can be used as either a basic energy or multifunction meter combining the simplicity and compactness to building management systems and cost allocation.  The most recent family member EM21-72V, is designed specifically for retro-fit applications.  Current measurements can be carried out by means of the external split core current sensor which restricts the voltage to the meter to 0.333V; making it a favourable solution for the installer.

Whether you need the EM10 as a simple compact meter for single phase or an EM24 energy meter for three phase unbalanced systems, capable of measuring traditional active and reactive energies as well as accepting pulse inputs from gas, water and other pulse variables or the EM23 as a 3 phase direct connect meter for connection up to 65A, we will have a meter that provides the solution.

As sub metering has become nothing less than good practice so has the desire to monitor and record the data, with the latest energy platform from Carlo Gavazzi energy monitoring software moves into the cloud.  The VMUC-EM collects data from the energy meters as well as temperature inputs and switch outputs, via RS485 serial links.  It then exposes the data to local networks and the internet by providing three Web services: a file transfer protocol (FTP) server, which enables data to be pushed to a BMS or cloud-based service provider on a scheduled basis; an HTTP client that allows data to be polled on demand; and a Web server providing always-on access to real-time data, trending and alarms.
