Hasbro Signed a New Partnership with 3D Printing Firm, 3D Systems

Toy giant has partnered with 3D printing specialists for 'entirety of Hasbro's world-renowned brands'

Children may soon be able to make their own Transformers and My Little Pony Toys after toy giant Hasbro signed a new partnership with 3D printing firm, 3D Systems.

The pair will work together to co-develop 'play printers and platforms' later this year, reports ToyNews' sister publication PCR-online.

According to their announcement, the deal refers to the 'entirety of Hasbro's world-renowned brands' that includes the likes of Transformers, My Little Pony, Twister, Monopoly, Nerf and even Play-Doh.

The pair say they will deliver 'new immersive, creative play experiences' powered by 3D printing for children and their families.

Hasbro president and CEO, Brian Goldner, said: "We believe 3D printing offers endless potential to bring incredible new play experiences for kids and we're excited to work with 3D Systems, a recognised industry leader in this space."

Avi Reichental, president and CEO at 3D Systems, added: "We are thrilled to collaborate with Hasbro, a premier, global, branded play company, to jointly define, shape and lead the entire digital play space, powered by 3D printing."
