It's reported that Nucor announced to cut surcharges for rebar and medium-and-small section steel products to US$227/ton for shipments after May 21st, decreasing by US$24/ton from April 11st. However, Nucor increased base prices for the mentioned two products by US$24/ton. Meanwhile, Gerdau Long Steel North America and Steel Dynamics Inc., the other two steel longs producers in North America also adjust surcharges and base prices recently.
