VTech predicts it will retain the number one spot for the full year
VTech has become the number one manufacturer in the UK infant toy market for the first time, according to the latest NPD figures.
In a year that has seen the firm pick up over 30 awards, VTech is now predicting that it will retain the number one spot for the full year.
The infant learning toy company has had a busy year with a raft of accolades being awarded to it, including Gold awards from Right Start Best Toy, Practical Pre-school Awards, and the Independent Toy Awards.
The company also featured in the Dream Toys list for the fifth year running.
The firm now believes that there are many more potential award on the horizon as new additions to the VTech Baby range are introduced throughout 2014.
VTech managing director, Clive Richardson, said: "Becoming number one in the infant category is a landmark for the VTech Baby brand, but there is a lot more growth to come with the product ranges and support plans we have in place for 2014."
