Indian Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) said that its finished steel output totaled 1.08 million tons in May, rising by 11% year on year, hitting the record highs.
In May, the company crude steel output totaled 1.15 million tons.
Meanwhile, the company’s output of value-added and special steel increased by 8% year on year in May.
Besides, SAIL said that an addition capacity of over 5 million tons of pig iron in this financial year will help to increase its crude steel output to 19 million tons.
