According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's import revenues generated by steel totaled US$1.7 billion in October, falling by 4% year on year while increasing by 5.6% from a month ago.
Meanwhile, the country's import revenues of steel products were at US$200.6 million, up by 2.2% year on year while down by 1.6% from a month earlier.
In the first ten months of this year, Turkey's steel import revenues amounted to US$16.6 billion, decreasing by 2.4% year on year.
