The Italian Gruppo Trombini now intends after all to close down the particleboard plant in Frossasco, which operates under the name of Annovati, on a permanent basis. The remaining 127 employees at the Annovati plant immediately went on strike on the day of the announcement. On 17 July the decision to close down became official and, at the same time, the mandatory negotiations with the trade union and the workers' representatives got underway.
