Taiwan's major steel mill China Steel Corp has announced its new price for next January & February. The firm hiked its domestic prices for hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils by around USD 10 per tonne and USD 2 per tonne
However, most Taiwanese mills still feel disappoint about CSC's new price because the rising new price will continue to make those Taiwanese re-rolling mills keep losing profit.
It’s known that most of Taiwanese re-rolling mills expected CSC to keep its new HRC price flat.
It’s learned that the appreciated New Taiwanese Dollar currency and rising raw material costs have led those re-rolling mills to face difficulty to gain profit even though some re-rolling mills have already tried to rise their new prices by about US$10~US$20/ton for next January.
