Foreign reports say Dalian Wanda Group Co., Ltd. is to acquire the United Kingdom (UK)'s biggest luxury yacht company Sunseeker, signifying that Chinese buyers are more and more inclined to buy luxury assets from Europe.
A person with knowledge said Dalian Wanda is reckoned to pay 300 million pounds (about CNY 2.87 billion) for the acquisition, and the acquisition may have been affirmed before the end of June. Though he did not referred to Sunseeker, Wang Jianlin, chairman and founder of Dalian Wanda, said his company had acquired the best yacht company in the UK.
Besides acquiring Sunseeker, Dalian Wanda also inclines to invest a large sum in London's luxury hotels. Wang said the two investment will exceed 1 billion pounds, and the acquisitions have been approved by the regulatory department concerned.
