Dark Horse range to debut at NY Toy Fair
Two new lines of Game of Thrones figures are on the way from Funko and Dark Horse.
Funko's Legacy Collection of higly articulated figures will be available exclusively in Barnes & Noble stores, before arriving at further retail partners from March 4th.
The first figures in the Game of Thrones Legacy Collection includes Jon Snow, Ned Stark and Tyrion Lannister.
Elsewhere, Dark Horse has partnered with HBO Global Licensing for five new Game of Thrones figures that will debut at the NY Toy Fair, held at Jacob Javits Center in New York.
The nonarticulated figures represent a moment in time from the show and each figure measures approximately 7.5 inches tall.
This range is scheduled for a July 2014 release, with figures including Cersei Baratheon, Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Jaime Lannister, and the White Walker.
"The Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen figures were snapped up by the fans, and the April releases are already highly anticipated," said Dark Horse product development head David Scroggy.
"We will continue to make these nonarticulated figures, in order to capture all of the small details that would be at risk in a traditional jointed action figure. No corners have been cut in achieving realism and faithfulness to the HBO series."
An additional group of five premium figures in this ongoing program is in the preproduction prototype stage, with a tentative release date of November 2014.
