Russia-based pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that up to August of the current year it will supply 50,000 mt of oil and gas pipeline pipes for application in the V. Filanovsky oil and gas deposit developed by Lukoil in the Caspian sea.
The pipes with diameter of 711 mm and wall thicknesses of 22.2 mm, 25.4 mm and 29 mm of strength grade X65 will be manufactured at Vyksa Steel Works (part of OMK) from its own steel sheet produced at its heavy plate mill 5000. The supplier of slabs, used for the production of steel sheets, will be Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK).
