Czech automobile manufacturer ?KODA has unveiled its economical and low-emission GreenLine models at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in Germany.
Features of the GreenLine models include start-stop system, brake energy recuperation, tyres with reduced rolling-resistance, specific aerodynamics, power train improvements and weight reductions.
The GreenLine models will also feature a special plaque both on the radiator grille and on the tailgate.
Except the company's ?KODA Citigo city car, all the other six models in the line will be made available with the GreenLine technology in the future.
The company has introduced the environmentally friendly GreenLine version of its new ?KODA Octavia.
?KODA Octavia GreenLine is equipped with an 81kW 1.6 TDI diesel engine, which produces 87g of CO2/km. The car maker will also introduce its ?KODA Rapid Spaceback GreenLine along with Rapid GreenLine saloon, which are equipped with new 66 kW 1.6 TDI diesel engine, in November 2013.
Equipped with a front-drive 77kW 1.6 TDI engine, the ?KODA Yeti GreenLine will be available with a manual five-speed transmission.?KODA Roomster GreenLine will be available with a 55kW 1.2 TDI engine and manual five-speed transmission.
?KODA technical development board member Frank Welsch said that they are working full steam to further reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in our vehicles.
"Our GreenLine models are prime examples of our efforts in this area," Welsch added.
