CG Drives & Automation releases first products since its acquisition as Emotron by Crompton Greaves in India
The first new products from the new formation are the IP20/21 version of Emotron FDU/VFX AC drives and the Emotron TSA soft-starter.
In 2011 Emotron, with its base in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, was acquired by Crompton Greaves, headquartered in India. By combining its senior technical expertise in Europe with a strong corporate organisation in India CG Drives & Automation has rapidly expanded its offering and now presents the new soft-starters and AC drives along with CG's wide range of electrical motors and transformers.
New AC drive, Emotron FDU/VFX in IP20/21 version up to 132 kW. The new IP20/21 series of drives from CG targets users of cabinet or wall mounted AC drives and is based on the range of IP54 units, Emotron FDU and Emotron VFX.
The softstarter Emotron TSA is the first in a new line of CG high performance softstarters. It complements the company's MSF line of heavy duty fully solid state soft-starters and offers integrated by-pass contactors, soft torque starting, intelligent load monitoring and functions for smart stops, including braking capability. The company claims that by developing the Emotron TSA range, CG has taken a major step towards the ideal motor controller for applications where variable speed is not required.
