30 London Menswear Designers Is Planning to Showcase at Galleries

The British Fashion Council announces 30 of London’s menswear designers will be exhibiting in the Designer Galleries at London Collections: Men, 7th – 9th January 2013.

The Designer Galleries at the Hospital Club showcase an edited selection of London’s most innovative and diverse menswear brands, encompassing both ready-to-wear and accessories collections. Based over two floors, the showrooms are a key opportunity for press and buyers to meet the designers and make wholesale appointments.
 
Ready-To-Wear designers will be showing their collections to press and retailers on the ground floor of The Hospital Club. Amongst those exhibiting are menswear duo Baartmans and Siegel, Austrian-born designer Berthold and Felipe Rojas Llanos.
 
Additionally there are six new ready-to-wear designers for AW13, including modern menswear brand The House of Nines, who focus on reconstructed tailoring; colour and cut enthusiast T.Lipop, Garderobe and Alex Mattsson, who presents a collection inspired by 1940’s Americana.
 
Fashion forward, sponsored by eBay Fashion and the Mayor of London, winner and British menswear starlet Lou Dalton will exhibit her contemporary menswear label. Lou opens the menswear showcase on 7th January with the first on schedule catwalk show, after which her AW13 collection will feature in the Designer Galleries.
 
Eight NEWGEN MEN, sponsored by TOPMAN, recipients have all received support to hold a static exhibition for their collections, which will go on display following their on schedule shows and presentations. Designers Christopher Raeburn, Martine Rose, Matthew Miller, Sibling and newcomers Lee Roach, Shaun Samson and William Richard Green will all be on the ground floor whilst jewellery designer Bunney will show his collection in the accessories Designer Gallery.
 
An Accessories Collective on the first floor will comprise of bag, jewellery, footwear, tie and cufflink brands, and gives accessories designers the opportunity to curate a unique setting and visual display for their collections. A full spectrum of mens accessories will be available, with millinery from Bernstock Speirs and Noel Stewart; and footwear brands Dr. Martens; Diego Vanassibara and Mr. Hare.
 
Designers with private showrooms at The Hospital Club include luxury footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood who will debut his first menswear shoe line. The recently named Accessory Designer of The Year at the British Fashion Awards 2012 will unveil his highly anticipated mens collection in a showroom installation on the first floor and will be available for appointments for the duration of London Collections: Men. Paul Costelloe will also exhibit his menswear line in a private showroom on the second floor.

In addition to the Designer Galleries, The Hospital Club will be home to one of the official BFC show spaces, as well as other onsite facilities including an LC:M cinema where shows will be live streamed; an American Express Onsite Concierge and working lounges for press and buyers. Fudge, the Official Haircare Partner for London Collections: Men will host the ‘Fudge Fix’ salon on the third floor, a dedicated salon space where a team of stylists will be on hand to provide cutting and styling services for guests.
