According to statistics, Taiwan imported 25,930 tonnes of stainless scraps in October 2012, jumping by 30% MoM.
In October 2012, the country's export prices of stainless scraps averaged at TWD 52,800 per tonne, rising by TWD 881 per tonne from a month ago.
In the first ten months of 2012, Taiwan's imports of stainless scraps amounted to 260,000 tonnes, up by 9% YoY.
Meanwhile, Taiwan exported 6,030 tonnes of stainless scraps in October 2012, rising by 50% MoM.
The average export prices of stainless steel scrap were at TWD 41,370 per tonne in October 2012, surging by TWD 5,836 per tonne in a month ago.
