Taipei,Oct.8,2012(CENS)--The 38th Taipei International Electronics Show,which will take place on Oct.9-12,is estimated to draw around 50,000 buyers to strike deals up to US$350-400 million,up from last yeara's US$300 million,according to co-organizer Taiwan External Trade Development Council(TAITRA).
This year,this show will be held in conjunction with the Broadband Taiwan and Cloud&IOT shows at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall.
TAITRA pointed out that 1,100 exhibitors will use around 2,200 booths at the three shows to demonstrate their latest products.
TAITRA pointed out that this year the three shows will highlight eco and smart living with electronics technologies.The three shows cover seven pavilions:Cloud Computing,Industry Ecosystem,Green Electronics,Made-in-Taiwan Appliance,Smart Living,Broadband Communications,and Integrated Broadband Service.
There are many first-time events at the shows this year.Among them is the Technology Innovation Awards,which is positioned as Taiwanese version of the iF Design Award of Germany for electronics and electrical industries.The government-backed Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI)has been designated by TAITRA and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufacturersa??Association(TEEMA)to conduct the award project.
The award event aims at honoring the islanda's manufacturers of electronic components,electronic products,broadband communications and cloud&IOT for their diligent efforts in R&D.
The award jury composed of specialists from industrial,academic and governmental sectors has selected 19 products out of more than 100 entries from local manufacturers,including Zero One Technology Co.,Ltd.,Mean Well Enterprise Co.,Ltd.,SYSTEX Corp.,Surgetek Technology Co.,GWinstek Co.,Ltd.,Global Unique Green Energy Technology Co.,Ltd.,APPA Technology Corp.,EOC,AnaSystem Inc.,ADDA,ZEROPLUS Technology Co.,Ltd.,Uniway Technology International Ltd.,Chroma ATE Inc.,ENOVA Technology Co.,Ltd.,Avertronics Inc.,and Chunghwa Telecom Co.,Ltd.
