European Tin Plate Mills Announced That The Prices Are Estimated to Be Increased for 2014

It is reported that European tin plate mills could initiate the negotiation of latest prices for 2014 recently and be expected to reach an agreement before the end of November. The prices are estimated to be increased by €30~€50/ton. It is uncertain that if the mills could hike their prices successfully because European market is deeply affected by exports of tin plate from East Europe, China and Korea. However, global tin plate mills have surged their prices for the first quarter of 2014. The price of carbon steel hot rolled coil has increased to US$610~US$620/ton in early November although European economy is still slow at present. The tin plate mills are going to shift their increasing material costs on product prices.
