Avnet Abacus has announced a significant service enhancement for its customers in Europe on components purchased from the TE Connectivity product portfolio.
The distributor can offer a reduced minimum order quantity (MOQ) on approximately 140,000 TE Connectivity parts, including connectors, relays,?passive components, EMC filters, switches,?antennas?and cables. This gives customers the flexibility to order the majority of the parts through Avnet Abacus at quantities equivalent to the manufacturers smallest pack size.
Avnet Abacus offers lead times of typically less than one week on more than 25,000 TE Connectivity part codes. Standard application tooling products are available direct from stock.
This enhanced service extends beyond TE Connectivity's standard connector, relay and component product line to the company's application tooling solutions, which can all be ordered from Avnet Abacus in individual units.

"Engineers incorporating TE Connectivity parts into their designs can now come to Avnet Abacus to buy smaller quantities required for prototyping, in addition to placing volume orders. This removes the need to switch the source of purchase between the design and production phases, providing time- and cost-saving advantages to engineers and purchasing departments. ?We envisage introducing this service for other selected manufacturers' product ranges in the future."
