Like for like sales in five weeks to December 28th up 6.93 per cent.
The Entertainer delivered record breaking sales during the Christmas trading period, the retailer has revealed.
The Entertainer's total sales for the five weeks to December 28th 2013 were 11.98 per cent up compared with 2012.
Like for like sales (including VAT) rose by 6.93 per cent, while Click & Collect sales were up 93 per cent year on year.
"We're extremely pleased with a solid performance in what has proved to be a challenging Christmas for the toy industry," said Gary Grant, founder of The Entertainer.
"This result was made possible by the hard work and commitment shown by our people across the business. To outperform the wider retail market by such a significant margin is something they should feel very proud of."
The retailer opened 14 new stores in 2013 - taking its total to 91 - with a further 12 new stores planned to open in 2014.
The Entertainer's first franchised store in Dubai also opened, with further ambitious international growth plans earmarked going forward.
