It’s reported that most of the Taiwanese steel pipe makers hiked list prices by NT$500~NT$600/ton for August on July 29th in order to reflect higher input costs.
In fact, the price rise of NT$500~NT$600/ton made by steel pipe makers is higher than the price hike of NT$400/ton announced by Chung Hung Steel, the major raw material supplier to steel pipe makers in Taiwan.
Dealers pointed out that as the transaction prices of steel pipes are much lower than mills’ official offer over the past months, they decided to raises prices by NT$500~NT$600/ton to make up the loss.
