Zhejiang Loongair Airlines, expanding from cargo to passenger operator, will start to fly within this year.
Loongair previously was approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to engage in air cargo transport and this year was approved to expand the scope to air passenger and cargo transport. By far, the airline has been making the preparatory work and sets up the main operating base at Xiaoshan International Airport in Hangzhou and is the first cargo and passenger transport airline in Zhejiang.
Currently Loongair hopes to introduce Airbus 320 and start to fly within this year. The fleet is expected to consist of 40 aircrafts within five years and 100 ones within ten years.
