LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®) will expand its product presentation and increase its scale in 2013 with the addition of two high-profile categories occupying newly added Hall F space in Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., president and chief operating officer of LFI managing partner AMC, Inc.
The 2013 additions of solar power and software accelerate LFI’s continuing growth as the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. The new categories will advance its footprint to produce the largest trade show in LFI’s 23-year history.
Solar and software naturally complement the core LFI product mix with systems and technologies integral to the lighting industry’s broader reach into energy and control innovations. The inaugural presentations of these categories in Hall F, located on level one of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, will give attendees convenient access to extensive new product resources, complemented by a robust networking schedule in the Spotlight Lounge, the LFI Media Marketplace and in-hall broadcasts from LFI News.
“We are seeing what can only be defined as truly transformational innovation in the lighting industry with technology breakthroughs occurring daily,” notes Portman. “From inception, LIGHTFAIR has anticipated and addressed these industry and environmental changes with comprehensive product presentations. Solar and software continues that mission as next steps into the future,” Portman adds.
The Spotlight Lounge in Hall F will have a robust schedule of special events including keynotes, networking, exhibitor presentations, daily raffles and student events, and a complimentary lunch on Thursday, April 25.
For LIGHTFAIR® International 2013, the Pre-Conference program takes place from Sunday, April 21 – Monday, April 22, 2013 and the LFI Trade Show and Conference will run Tuesday, April 23 – Thursday, April 25, 2013.
