Baby and parent specialist Mothercare Plc has appointed former Group CEO of Shop Direct Mark Newton-Jones as its interim CEO.
The appointment follows the news of former CEO Simon Calver's departure from the firm last month.
From March 17th, Newton-Jones will step into the role, reporting to Mothercare's Chairman, as the board continues its search for a permanent CEO.
Newton-Jones was previously the Group CEO for Shop Direct, where he instrumented the transformation of the firm to the UK's leading internet and home shopping business.
With a career spanning 30 years, Newton-Jones also held positions with Next Plc.
