The city of Johannesburg power utility City Power is to install smart meters to help it provide an efficient service.
Sicelo Xulu, MD of City Power, said customers who use over 1000kwh per month will be provided with smart meters.
“It means we can read those customers remotely. We do not have to send out meter reader agents.
