Shipments of AIO PCs Will Likely Outstrip 20% Growth Year on Year

Taipei,Oct.4,2012(CENS)--With ever more people choosing all-in-one(AIO)personal computers(PC)instead of traditional desktop PCs in recent years,shipments of AIO PCs will likely outstrip 20%growth year on year(YoY)in 2013,driving up revenues of some Taiwanese AIO PC makers including Wistron Corporation and Quanta Computer,as well as Taiwanese bearing makers such as Syncmold Enterprise Group,Jarllytec Co.,Ltd.,and Shin Zu Shing Co.,Ltd.,according to insiders.

Quanta led in operations by winning orders for iMac assembly from Apple Inc.,followed by Wistron with shipments reaching three to four million units of AIO PCs this year,then Inventec and Pegatron.

Shipments of AIO PCs grew an annual 22%this year and will rise even higher next year,which has Wistron expecting better-than-average rise in AIO PC shipments next year,according to C.Y.Shen,general-director of digital consuming product business of Wistron.

Besides,China's government declared that each desktop PC with energy-saving function will be eligible for subsidies of renminbi(RMB)260 or about

NT$1300(US$43.33)starting October 2012 to next September,which will stimulate AIO PC sales there.

To enhance user-friendliness,Acer will launch a new AIO PC with vertically-tilting monitors to ease viewing.The new producta??s special bearing and socket are produced by Syncmold,whose cumulative shipments of AIO PC reached about one million units in the first nine months,and AIO PC shipments target in 2013 to be about 1.8 to two million units,according to insiders.
