The Export of Turkish Wire Rod Product Raise by 18.8% M-O-M and Down by 36.2% Y-O-Y

According to data released by the TUIK, Turkish export of wire rod product was 72,928 tons in September, which is the second consecutive month to increase, raising by 18.8% m-o-m and down by 36.2% y-o-y. The export value was 45.88 million, declining by 44.6% from a year ago.

Turkish wire products export so far represents downward trend since 3Q of 2011. However, it seemed to quickly rebound from this 2Q that the wire product export has hit the record high to Middle East in 2Q with 65,282 tons and in 3Q with 72,974 tons in 2012. The export in 3Q was a four-fold growth from the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, Turkish wire exports to North America in 3Q of 2012 was 18,884 tons, which is the second consecutive to drop m-o-m, decreasing by 36.2% from 2Q.
