Santa Cruz introduces its first bikes designed specifically for 27.5-inch wheels with the launch of the Bronson and Bronson Carbon all-mountain/enduro models, which the Syndicate squad is racing on this year's Enduro World Series circuit.
The 6-inch-travel frames have 142-millimeter rear axle spacing, rubber frame protection, twin bottle cage mounts, forged upper and lower links, double-sealed pivots with grease ports, standard or direct-mount rear hanger options, ISCG-05 tabs, stealth and external cable routing for dropper seatposts and—good news for those frustrated by press-fit bottom brackets—a 73-millimeter threaded BB.
The aluminum Bronson frame, available in May, weighs 6.8 pounds (medium with Fox Float CTD rear shock) and retails starting at $1,925. Completes, built with Fox's 34 Float 27.5 CTD forks, start at $3,399.
Its carbon counterpart, available now, tips the scales at 5.3 pounds (medium with Fox Float CTD) and sells for $2,699. Complete builds start at $4,150 and range up to $10,000-plus (SRAM XX1/Enve kit).
