According to data released by the Indian steel ministry’s Joint Plant Committee, the country’s real consumption of finished steel products totaled 24.14 million tons in April-July, rising by 0.2% year on year. It’s analyzed that the lack of significant growth in the country’s steel consumption was caused by weak economic and market condition. Besides, India’s steel exports totaled 1.42 million tons in April-July, falling by 4.2% year on year.
