Foreign media quoted words from a person in the know that Apple has asked Foxconn Technology Group to include China Mobile Ltd. (SEHK: 0941 and NYSE: CHL) in carrier list for iPhone 5C.
Earlier reports said that China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. (NYSE: CHU, SEHK: 0762, and SHSE: 600050) and China Telecom Corporation Ltd. (NYSE: CHA and SEHK: 0728) will launch new iPhone concurrently with US on September 20 while China Mobile will not start selling TD-LTE iPhone until November because of the limitation for 4G licenses.
If the cooperation between Apple and China Mobile is confirmed, the news will boost sales volume of iPhone in China and lift up stock price of Apple.
