According to statistics released by the Turkish Steel Pipes Manufacturers’ Association (CEBID), Turkey exported 1.91 million tons of steel tubes and pipes in 2012, rising by 15.8% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s export values generated by steel tubes and pipes totaled US$1.77 billion, increasing by 6.3% year on year.
In 2012, Iraq was the largest importer of the Turkish steel pipes and tubes with 383,573 tons; the US was the second largest one with 337,195 ton and the UK was the third largest one with 211,712 tons.
In December alone, Turkey’s exports of steel pipes and tubes totaled 200,000 tons, jumping by 38% in comparison of the figures in the same period of a year ago.
