Switzerland-based Saurer Group's Schlafhorst brand has received an order for 18 Autocoro 8 rotor-spinning machines from China-based Changzhou Qunda Textile & Raw Material Co. Ltd. Other staple yarn manufacturers in China are installing the Autocoro 8 at their facilities as well, including Jiangsu Yitianxia Textile & Technology Co. Ltd and Zhangjiang Changxin Textile & Co. Ltd.
According to Saurer, the Chinese companies have selected the Autocoro 8 because of its productivity and efficiency as well as the product quality achieved. "All aspects of the Autocoro 8 have impressed us," said Yang Zhigang, Zhangjiang Changxin Textile. "The question of what is an economical lot size no longer arises, because the machine efficiency rating is always optimal, even if three lots are being produced at the same time."
