Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota Motor is planning to introduce 20 new models in China by 2015.
With the help of its two Chinese partners, FAW and Guangzhou Automobile Group, Toyota is also planning to manufacture China-only brands in 2013.
The company has decided to introduce 20 new models by 2015, following GM's announcment to increase capacity by manufacturing low-cost passenger cars in China.
Additionally, the company has unveiled 34 production and concept vehicles at the 10th China International Automobile Exhibition including a total of eight environment-friendly electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, and Yundong Shuangqing concept equipped with a hybrid system.
In addition, the company also debuted the Venza crossover sports utility vehicle (SUV), which will be launched in 2013, in China.
The company has also unveiled a compact-sized Toyota Dear Qin concept sedan and hatchback, the 86 compact rear-wheel-drive sports car and the 'Welcab' series of vehicles with factory-installed features for the disabled and the elderly.
